Met Gala 2018 Wrap-Up
We gathered several interviews, images, and videos of the events of Monday’s Met Gala with the theme of Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, where fashion meets Catholicism.
Our project went live on Monday at 7:00 pm, and although we did not have a sizeable live audience, we still made sure to provide a variety of content so that anyone would be able to look back on it and gain insight and inspiration from our coverage.
Some of the highlights of this event included seeing some stars roll up in their SUV’s and wave at fans. We got video footage of celebs like rapper ASAP Ferg, actress Anne Hathaway, host Alexa Chung, host James Corden, youtuber Casey Neistat, and designer Dapper Dan.
We also conducted 4 on-site interviews with spectators, and though we originally planned to ask them trivia, we decided to ask them about which celebs they were eager to see, who they thought was fashion-forward, and other fun ice-breakers. As the streets surrounding the Met got more hectic, we focused on videos of the crowd and pictures of attendees walking along Madison Avenue to provide a variety of content to add to our media library while our project was live.
